Hunt Mining reports high grade gold and silver from La Josefina project
US-based junior explorer Hunt Mining (CVE:HMX) reported Monday the latest drill results from its Amanda - Cecilia vein structure at its flagship La Josefina project in Santa Cruz, Argentina, which continue to confirm high grade gold and silver mineralization.
Signficant results included 1.24 metres of 38.31 g/t gold, 150.92 g/t silver and 12.66% lead, including 0.38 metres of 85.12 g/t gold 337 g/t silver and 26.97% lead, as well as 0.38 metres of 37.24 g/t gold in hole SVN-D11-271.
Other notable intersections included 0.87 metres of 18.94 g/t gold, 184.44 g/t silver and 1.04% copper in hole SVN-D11-272, including 0.5 metres of 31.92 g/t gold, 220 g/t silver and 1.54% copper; and 2.42 metres of 3.56 g/t gold and 63.94 g/t silver in hole SVN-D11-275, including 0.4 metres of 11.6 g/t gold and 1.5 metres of 4.43 g/t gold and 96.22 g/t silver.
The Amanda - Cecilia structure is located in the Veta Norte Zone of the project, from which the drill rig has now been moved to the Sinter Zone. An additional rig is due at the property soon to accelerate development, the company said.
The La Josefina project is a 528 square-kilometer mineral reserve located within Patagonia's Deseado Massif mineral district. It lies approximately 100 km northwest of AngloGold Ashanti's Cerro Vanguardia gold-silver mine.
