Corvus Gold appoints new CFO
Corvus Gold (TSE:KOR) said Tuesday that it has appointed Peggy Wu as the new CFO, effective June 1.
Wu will replace Michael Kinley, who will remain with the company as a consultant.
Wu is a chartered accountant and is currently the CFO for Indico Resources, as well as the Financial Reporting Specialist for the Cardero Group.
"Ms. Wu brings to Corvus exceptional resource industry financial skills which will be invaluable as we grow into a premier gold exploration and royalty company," said CEO Jeff Pontius.
"Peggy's strong financial analysis and exchange-related experience will be particularly important as the company assesses its growing project portfolio and determines the best strategy to leverage its interests to increase shareholder value."
Corvus, which was listed on the OTCQX, the highest tier of the OTC market, in early May, is focused on gold mining in Alaska and Nevada.
The Vancouver, B.C.-based company is currently in the midst of a drill program at its Bullfrog Project near Beatty, Nevada.
In early May, initial results of its 15,000 metre phase 1 drill program at the property returned 68.6 metres of 0.51 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold and 41.2 metres of 0.44 g/t of gold, at the Savage Valley target.
