Wallbridge appoints president
Mineral explorer Wallbridge Mining (TSE:WM) said Monday it has appointed Marz Kord as president in a move to build on its assets and bring the company to the next level of growth.
Kord, whose experience in the mining industry spans over 26 years, has managed large multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and operators, and has background in business growth plans and in mergers and acquisitions.
Most recently, Kord was executive vice president of global mining for a large Canadian firm.
"This is a pivotal time in the growth of Wallbridge, with our Broken Hammer copper-platinum group elements deposits in Sudbury advancing through feasibility, and significant value in the investments in our two spin out companies, Miocene Metals and Duluth Metals," said chairman Warren Holmes in a statement.
"The addition of Marz to our management team gives us the capacity to build upon these considerable assets and move Wallbridge to the next level in its growth as a company."
Alar Soever, who will remain CEO of Wallbridge, said the addition of Marz Kord to the company's management team is an important step.
"Marz's extensive experience in mining operations and his exposure to a large number of mining projects in various stages of development will be invaluable as we explore opportunities for future growth," he added.
Wallbridge is a mineral exploration company specializing in base metals and precious metal exploration in Canada, with its primary properties situated in Sudbury, Ontario.
