Arian Silver Corp unveils high grade drill results from San Jose project
Mexico focused explorer Arian Silver Corp (LON:AGQ, CVE:AGQ) today unveiled its latest batch of high grade silver results from the San Jose project.
The company described the Phase 4 drilling results as ‘encouraging'. The aim of the programme is to identify additional resources while upgrading the current resources by size and by category. So far 24 holes have been drilled for a total of 6,600 metres.
In all, 40 drill holes are planned as part of the Phase 4 programme, for a total of 10,000 metres.
The results so far show multiple high-grade silver intercepts with step-out and infill drilling along the San Jose Vein (SJV), the company said. The best grades ranged from 170 to 436 grams per tonne silver.
"Once again, these most recent drill results show continuity of vein thickness, silver mineralization and grade from both the in-fill and step-out drilling as we drill along the SJV," said Arian Silver chief executive Jim Williams.
"Drilling continues at a good pace using two Longyear 44 rigs and we are currently anticipating completion during this reporting quarter.
Williams added: "We continue to believe the San Jose Project still has considerable potential upside to offer and we anticipate a further resource estimate update after the completion of our Phase 4 drilling."
In addition to the work on the SJV Arian also plans to drill the nearby Bety Vein, where previous surface samples returned grades of up to 500 grams per tonne silver.
