Porta Communications’ Newgate PR hires BBC’s Martin Greig as associate director
Shares in Porta Communications (LON:PTCM) rose in early trade after it announced that its Newgate Public Relations business has hired a high-profile BBC business journalist as an associate director.
At 8.22 am, the stock was up 8.20 per cent at 8.25 pence.
Martin Greig, who has spent the last eleven years as a senior business news producer with BBC Radio 4's flagship "Today" programme, will join the team at Newgate PR in March.
Greig also edited BBC Radio 5-Live's "Wake up To Money" programme, produced BBC Radio 4's "You & Yours" programme, BBC Radio 2's "Jimmy Young" programme and spent two years with London News Radio's News Direct 97.3FM.
Newgate PR chairman Jonathan Clare said, "Martin is a senior hire and Newgate PR will be making further appointments in the next few months.
