China markets finish high after inital drops
China's markets opened low on news that IPOs will resume in June, but reversed declines as cleantech and property shares surged in the afternoon.
The Shanghai Comprehensive Index added 0.48 percent to 2610.01. The SME Comprehensive Index climbed 0.28 percent to 4137.53.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.35 percent to 17121.82. The Hang Seng Growth Enterprises Index advanced 1.64 percent to 557.22. The Hang Seng China Enterprise Index climbed 0.09 percent to 9799.36.
Taiwan's TAIEX Index slid 0.04 perent to 6734.46.
