Baidu to launch improved web statistics service
Baidu.com has announced it will re-launch its improved web statistics service in mid-August. Google, currently under attack by the Chinese government for disseminating allegedly illegal content on its Chinese search-engine, is unable to provide accurate statistics in the Chinese mainland with its Analytics service.
Baidu said that following a one-year development period, the new edition of its statistics service will to provide more stable and thorough website statistics services to its users.
The new edition will fully replace its beta test edition and the former statistics service will be closed from July 28.
In mainland China, Baidu claims to have 64 percent of the search engine market share, while Google claims to have 30 percent.
