China Electric Power Tech Holdings Ltd., formerly A & K Educational Software Holdings Limited, is an investment holding company. The Company, along with its subsidiaries, is principally engaged in the development and distribution of educational software and electronic learning card. The Company also provides information technology related services in the People’s Republic of China. The Company develops its own educational software and distributes such software on standard package basis through Internet. In addition, it provides school network integration services for their software implementation. The Company has entered into distribution agreements with other software developers to distribute their educational software products. It has three segments: Self-developed educational software, Application software and Self-developed Internet learning card.

CEPT acquires Beijing educational IT firm Zhiyiren
China Electric Power Technology Holdings (CEPT) is to acquire Zhiyiren, a provider of IT services for schools in Beijing, for a consideration of RMB88m (HK$99.9m). It is disposing of its Jiangxi subsiduary, which has been loss-making for the past two years.
Zhiyiren was incorporated in 2006. It recorded a loss of RMB281,000 in 2007 but has made several large client wins in 2009. CEPT cite the Beijing government’s recent announcement of further investment in IT infrastructure and eduscation in Beijing as one reason for growing trend of market demand for services of Zhiyiren.
