Biostar Pharmaceuticals, Inc. sells five SFDA approved medicines in China. Some 56 percent of its revenues are generated by Xin Aoxing Oleanolic Acid Capsules, the only SFDA-approved, OTC treatment for hepatitis B. Biostar is also building a raw material processing center. It began growing its own crops last year, and once the operation is producing fully, the company will be able to supply all of its own raw materials and sell to other TCM manufacturers.

Biostar gets approval to sell three TCM products through its rural network
Biostar Pharmaceuticals, Inc. has been granted approval for three TCM products, which it expects will come on market before the end of this month
Yizi capsules are directed at infertility in women and said to help healthy fetal development during pregnancy. Tangning capsules are aimed at treating type II diabetes. Shengjing capsules are marketed to improve male libido and assist with impotence.
The company is predicting increase of US$3.5m in revenues from the products by the end of this year, plus US$7.4m in 2010.
Biostar will use its rural cooperative medicine supply network of about 1,320 sales outlets to distribute these products alongside its existing drugs.
