Mobile Streams lifted by news of Smartphone R&D centre opening in Hong Kong
Shares in Mobile Streams PLC (AIM: MOS) were lifted this morning by news the company has opened a new Center of Excellence for Smartphone research and development in Hong Kong.
The mobile content retailer said the new facility will play a key role in the company's continuing development of Smartphone and feature phone applications and services on behalf of both Mobile Streams and its customers.
The stock was trading up 7 percent by midmorning.
CEO and Mobile Streams founder Simon Buckingham commented: "We chose to locate this global facility in Hong Kong because the Asian region has already launched services for several smartphone platforms including Google Android and BlackBerry from Research in Motion."
Mobile Streams recently announced the launch of two Google Android Game Storefronts for network operator partners in Asia and Australia.
Mobile Streams is a registered and accredited developer for the iPhone and iPod Touch platforms from Apple.
