Newly listed China Power Equipment, Inc reported an impressive 88 percent increase in first half revenues this morning, underlining the strong growth potential of the company.
Financial highlights for the six months of 2009 included revenues of US$8.59 million (H1 2008: US$4.57 million), up 88 percent and an almost 100 percent increase in net income after tax of US$1.6 million (H1 2008: US$0.82 million). We expect these trends will continue as China's economy continues to expand, and with it, the demand for efficient, clean transfer of energy," Yong Xing Song, Chairman of the Board of the Company, stated. "We look forward to building on the strong foundation we have built with many of the regional utilities and government agencies as they continue to increase and improve China's power grid."
