China Advanced Construction Materials wins contract for new French embassy
China Advanced Construction Materials Group Inc (OTC:CADC) announced that it will be the major provider of concrete for the new French embassy which is being built in the new diplomatic zone in the Chaoyang District of Beijing. The complex will house the largest French embassy in the world and is expected to open in 2011.
China ACM, founded in 2002, is headquartered in Beijing, China. The company produces advanced construction materials for large scale commercial, residential, and infrastructure developments.
The company is primarily focused on producing and supplying a wide range of advanced ready-mix concrete materials for highly technical, large scale, and environmental construction projects. The company also aims to develop and produce new and innovative environmentally conscious construction materials.
China ACM provides materials and services through eight ready-mix concrete plants which supply the Beijing metropolitan area. China ACM owns one plant, leases three plants and has technical services and preferred procurement agreements with four other independently-owned plants.
The construction material manufacturer has been involved in several prestige developments in the Chinese capital, including some of the landmark developments for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. The company supplied concrete for the ‘Birds Nest Stadium' and the ‘Water Cube' Chinese National Swimming Center.
China ACM Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Xianfu Han commented on this lastest contract win:
"The architecturally unique design created by Alain Sarfati ... is just the type of structure where China ACM can excel in demonstrating the versatility of our various concrete formulations. The embassy will be part of a new compound that will house all French diplomatic services in a single location."
