Pump maker looks to domestic market
Zhejiang Leo Co. donated pumps worth RMB1m to the drought-stricken Henan Province, and announced its intention to start focusing on the domestic market, which is likely to be boosted by government subsidies for the purchase of agricultural appliances.
The company generated sales of only RMB6.4m from domestic market in the first three quarters of 2008, making up only 0.89 percent of its total revenue.
Leo has already built up a retailing network covering the whole country with 80 contracted brokers. Orders in the first 10 days of February reached RMB 2.3m.
