China ACM wins Guizhou-Guangzhou railway contract
China Advanced Construction Materials Group (OTC:CADC) has announced it has won a RMB13.7m contract to provide concrete for a section of the new Guizhou-Guangzhou railway link.
Beijing-based China ACM produces construction materials, especially ready-mix concrete, for large developments, including infrastructure, commercial and residential projects. The company produces ready-mix concrete using raw materials supplied by a number of contractor companies.
The new railway will run from Guizhou’s provincial capital Guiyang to Guangzhou, a route of 857km in total. The line is intended to take 100 passenger trains daily and to transport 35m tonnes of goods annually. China ACM's section of the railway is due to be completed by late 2010.
China ACM provides concrete from seven factories within the Beijing metropolitan administrative region. The company owns one of these factories, leases two others and has procurement agreements with a further four independently-owned factories.
