China Renji turnover up 220%
China Renji posted a 255 percent increase in turnover for 2008 to HK$207.6m and a 348 percent rise in profits (excluding amortisation) to HK$179.5m.
The gains came from a series of stakes the company bought in specialized cancer-fighting equipment in a number of Chinese hospitals over the year, including: the Second Artillery Force Hospital in Beijing, the Xijing Hospital in Xi’an, the Shijiazhuang Hua Guang Tumour Hospital, Wuhan General Hospital, Shandong Ankang Hospital and the Shenzhen Luohu People’s Hospital.
As incomes rise and the government enacts its recently announced healthcare spending plan, the demand for cancer diagnosis and treatment will continue to rise in China.
